The day this picture was taken was literally the hottest day in The Netherlands this summer with temperatures well over 30 degrees. The coolest place was in the far north of the country at the Wadden See coast Hoping for both a nice photography chance and a proper cool down, my girlfriend and I went to this coolest place: Moddergat. Light was not spectacular, but the cooling down was successful and very pleasant (a nice 21 degrees in the evening!).
The sun sets behind the village of Hoogkerk on a summer evening. The Dutch soccer team was about to kick-off against Brasil in the 3rd place final so it was nice and quiet here at the very border of the city of Groningen.
Very close to home I witnessed and photographed today's blue hour at the Reitdiep Haven. This is a very recent part of the city of Groningen, situated in the North-West. It's well-known because of the bright-coloured houses.
