Not really knowing what to expect from today's sunset I went to this well-known location at the Paterswoldsemeer near Groningen. And just when I thought colours would not really be showing off today the sky was set on fire for just a few minutes.Actually, only a few minutes later the lake was fully coverd in mist, as visible on some other photos in the gallery.
The water of Lake Louise has an emerald colour which comes from rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake. The view from above can be reached by a nice, not too strenuous hike. Do mind the weather though, on the way back we really got soaked in a heavy thunderstorm.
